Organization Description:
Yoke design is a broad range graphic design business with 3 staff. We have large clients and handle work from varied print design right through to 3D animations for web and flash work.
Multiple stories is a direct sales company that is the mother ship of several smaller companies and wanted to have a website that showcased that.
Product Used:
We used Swift extensively for the development of the city based introduction animation, and the lift sequence in the launch websites section. Static renders were then created for backgrounds for the other pages. Basically we created a mini city in Swift 4.5
How Swift 3D provided real world use:
We found it easier to develop powerful scenes in swift. It allowed us to play with camera angels and lighting which played a large part in the feel of the website as we went. The great thing is the RAVIX engine can create a look for you depending on the structures reflections and lighting you have in the scene. With flash you have to do everything to get a result, flash is good icing on top of the swift cake in our eyes!
Goals:
Swift allowed us to create a complex animation introduction without the need for highly Advanced program knowledge.
Product Feature:
I think the addition of the bitmap render in Swift is a killer addition as it can change a scene from plastic to realistic with the click of a button. Also the advanced modeler is great.
Additional Software:
We also used Flash for actionscripting the spinning orb control centre scene, and Dreamweaver to place it together. Also Fireworks, Photoshop Illustrator etc to place model parts and render buttons etc.
Company Benefit:
Swift allows us to create high quality renders for web and presentations with no formal 3D training and quick turn around.
Future Projects:
We plan to use Swift on making a Robot called Droidy which we have developed to a run phase, and also we have found it great to develop renders for office layouts and displays.
Comments:
Swift 3D has introduced us to the world of 3D and we love it!
